Weverton Heights Appalachian Trail

Weverton, Maryland

This exciting piece of land along the well-known Appalachian Trail, has shifted hands many times over the last few years in terms of ownership. However, all of that is changing thanks to a grant from the OH! movement which will go towards supporting the Trust for Public Land and its initiative to donate this tract back to the State of Maryland for restoration of a piece of the trail. The Appalachian Trail crisscrosses the property near the Weverton Cliffs overlook which boasts views of the Potomac River and the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. This new transfer of ownership will guarantee hikers no interruption along the Appalachian Trail, providing a seamless hike to some of nature's best views along the trail.
