Memory Park

New Jersey - Memory Park

In Newton, N.J., Drake Baking Company founder Newman E. Drake established Memory Park. In November of 1928, he and his wife donated 10.84 acres for use as “a playground and general recreation field under the direction of the Town of Newton.” The park features a baseball field, basketball court, barbecue grills, an outdoor hockey rink, a playground, public restrooms, a soccer field, softball field, swimming pool and T-ball field. For nearly 90 years, Memory Park has brought joy and outdoor fun to generations of Newton residents. McKee Foods is honored to continue that tradition by providing funding for a pavilion that will help keep park-goers dry, cool, and hopefully add to their outdoor happiness!
