Fort Fair Lawn

South Carolina - Fort Fair Lawn

A new educational and recreational outdoor space will be arriving in Berkeley County, South Carolina: Fort Fair Lawn! The site will be an expansion of the Old Santee Canal State Park located in Moncks Corner. Built by the British during the Revolutionary War, Fort Fair Lawn is a historic and archaeological site that is surprisingly one of the most well in tact fortifications in South Carolina. This 80 acre location is a perfect place to build a park that will preserve the fort’s legacy while allowing visitors to walk along multiple trails weaving in and around grassy knolls and native trees.
